Giovanna is a multi genre style artist who dives deep into complexities of relationships, trauma, anxieties, contradictions, and the confusing parts of being a human. While mainly pop rock, she is no stranger to other styles like jazz and indie. Not only a writer, arranger, performer, and producer, she has experience behind the mic by setting up and running live shows at Chapman's College of Performing Arts and Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Her aim is to have a stable career in the music industry, possibly in the music technological or psychological research side, while authentically making music that reflects who she is.

Rewiring
A pop/rock song with sound similar to Olivia Rodrigo and Paramore, "Rewiring" describes the struggle of having to re-structure the memories and thoughts about a person who you loved but didn't treat you well by reminding yourself of how they really were.

Movin' On
Originally a final project for their music technology class, Giovanna and partner Reese Velez wrote, sang, arranged, and produced a bossa nova/jazz style song about moving on from an unhappy relationships in each of their own ways and reminding yourself of your identity.
Instead of letting the track live only in their professor's submissions, she made it into a produced song.

Giovanna and the Commercial Ensemble recorded, mixed, and released "Movin' On" on all streaming platforms. She also had the privilege to ​perform this with Chapman's Big Band and Jazz Combo along with Jazz extraordinaire and professor Albert Alva's trumpet arrangement

A situationship gone wrong. Or "Gone Awry", if you will. Giovanna sings about the confusion and limerence of falling for a guy she shouldn't have. Currently in the mixing process!
Jazz Ensembles
Jazz Combo (2024/2025)
I performed "Moondance", "Triste", scatted on Doozy, and did background vocals on "St. James Infirmary" with Chapman University's Big Band and Jazz Combo at Musco Center in 2024.
In Spring of 2025, I performed "Blue Skies" and my own original Jazz song "Movin' On" with the Jazz Combo
